Why a Mobile Service?

There are a number of reasons that we offer a mobile service:

• Enables an assessment of your child’s participation in the activities of their everyday life in the locations where these activities usually occur

• Strategies can be trialed, taught and implemented within your child’s real world environments, where they live their lives

• Provides the best opportunity for collaboration with teachers and other service providers

• Reduces the need to target your child’s ability to generalise the skills they learn, which is especially important for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs)

• Evidence Based Practice - the benefits of including home and school based interventions are supported by research

 

Sessions may be conducted in your home, community, or your child's childcare centre, preschool or school. Typically, a combination of clinic based and mobile services are offered.
